Starlight Cycling occurs when anyone reuses the energy absorbed from our closest star - the sun. While other planets in the universe simply reflect the light from their star back into space, our planet is covered in  tiny cells called chloroplasts which convert the energy from our star into the food that forms the basic building blocks for all living beings. For millions of years all species on earth participated in starlight cycling by consuming nutrients and faithfully returning those nutrients back into the earth to nourish other life forms. Today most of humanity no longer practices starlight cycling. Instead their consumption of food, land and resources creates toxic waste, harmful to most life forms. Here at SCAI we call this practice " blackwater practice" named after the common municipal water treatment designation describing the toxic untreated liquid that flows from most modern households

What is a Karma Krapper?

Karma Krappers are mobile composting toilets which serve the purpose of a  porta potty. You'll find Karma Krappers parked at festivals, trade shows, concerts, events, campgrounds, trailheads, and busy city centers. These potable restrooms are similar to porta potties, but they differ in a few ways. Click on the picture above to find out more

Starlight Cycling is founded on the idea of diversity. This practice and the values it represents is vital for all people of all political and religious affiliations. Click on the picture above and you will find 2O unique explanations connecting starlight cycling to the values of a variety of different apposing political and religious organizations. In today's polarized world many people demonstrate their loyalty to a certain set of beliefs by strongly apposing people with a different set of beliefs. When we practice starlight cycling we find this strategy is not effective. Like a garden full of weeds the problem will continue to grow if we only focus on removing the weeds. If we focus instead on cultivating the plants we DO want in our garden, they will eventually crowd out the weeds naturally. The same is true for belief systems. If everyone focuses on cultivating the values they believe in instead of apposing others, then we will all make greater positive progress. If you are someone who is passionate about excluding others who think differently than you then this practice of starlight cycling will be challenging for you.
